Focused on Corporate, Nonprofit and Association Sectors
Company is an Affiliate of ColdSpark, Building on a Decade of Success
PITTSBURGH – Citadel Communications LLC launched today as a new brand focused on strategic communications and public affairs, offering services to the corporate, nonprofit and association sectors. Citadel is an expansion affiliate of ColdSpark, the Pittsburgh-based political communications and strategy company.
Jeremy Neuhart, a 20-year veteran of corporate affairs for a range of Fortune 500 companies, will head up the effort. Mor Greenberg, a leader in the advocacy space who helps organizations shape their message and raise funds, will also lead Citadel strategy and execution, with particular emphasis on public affairs and public relations.
“We have created an integrated portfolio that brings the urgency and data-driven worldview of political campaigns to match the needs of nonpolitical clients,” Neuhart said. “Citadel can help companies and nonprofits tell their stories, navigating the constant shifts in public opinion.”
Neuhart said Citadel Communications will tap into ColdSpark’s expertise and capabilities, while also bringing in new talent with an increasingly diverse set of experience and expertise that helps clients in broader sectors of the marketplace. Staff members comprise backgrounds in journalism, government, nonprofits and campaigns.
“We are excited to formally expand ColdSpark’s professionalism and expertise to the nonprofit and advocacy sectors,” Greenberg said. “Citadel has the tools and network to become a one-stop shop for these industries’ communications needs. We recognize that messaging and branding occur as part of a wider narrative, and we can implement this to benefit leaders in this space.”
“Strategic communications and public affairs today demand specialists with a command of storytelling and digital acumen – spaces that ColdSpark has filled for more than a decade,” said Mike DeVanney, one of ColdSpark’s two founding partners.
Citadel Communications highlights the firm’s integrated communications expertise, including public relations, crisis and issues management, public affairs, advocacy and coalition building, combined with in-house capabilities for digital, creative, print production, and polling/research. The firm’s creative products have won more than 50 national awards for their effectiveness and originality.
ColdSpark, founded in 2011, has been recognized as a leader in its field, supporting some of the country’s most expensive and prolific races, recently this includes SFA Fund, Inc., the federal super PAC supporting Nikki Haley’s campaign for President and Dave McCormick for Senate in Pennsylvania. In total, ColdSpark has been involved with more than 100 House and Senate races, a dozen races for Governor, and consulted with some of the largest political Committees and trade associations inside the Beltway.
“Citadel Communications will be a nonpartisan operation, continuing to deliver the same client-centric successful projects for which we have become known,” DeVanney added. “Our competitive edge stems from our deep roots in the political realm, where conventional communication methods have become outdated. We grasp the complexities of a transformed landscape, which will serve as a compelling case study for clients who may be struggling with traditional approaches. After all, what topic is not politically charged in this era?”
